Dear Colleagues,

It will be a great privilige for us, as the Lung and Pleural Malignancies Study Group of the Turkish Thoracic Society, to host you during the International Symposium on Lung and Pleural Malignancies which will be held at Istanbul Polat Renaissance Hotel between 15-17 November 2007. This event also coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Turkish Thoracic Society.

All aspects of lung and pleural malignancies will be discussed in this symposium which is officially supported by European Respiratory Society - ERS and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer - IASLC. A wide spectrum of topics related with lung and pleural malignancies will be covered including public health issues, early diagnosis, screening, novel diagnostic methods, staging, surgical and medical treatment options and palliative measures. Fifty-eight lung cancer specialists from a wide range of disciplines, 18 of whom from other countries will participate at 22 sessions. We are confident that the sessions will enlighten the participants with the most recent information and excellent scientific quality.

We are very excited to host you during this important symposium in the magnificent city of Istanbul where the history and civilizations meet. We look forward to seeing you in one of the most beautiful cities of the world hoping to share the science, the history and the culture.
